Aisha Abdullah

Aisha is a hardworking optimistic character who loves her family and agrees to everything her mother and father say. In Step In to the Light Aisha is shown as a depressed stressed out upset teenage girl as she is fed up and tired of trying. She is 18 years old girl from an African background.

Sidra Abdullah

Sidra is Aisha’s Mother she is a strict typical African mother who is pushy. She perfectly fits into the stereo type of a African Muslim parent. She is 35 years old and got married to Hakim when she was 18 years old, this is why she is so determined to get Aisha married off at a young age.

Hakim Abdullah

Hakim Abdullah is a 44 year old man who is Aisha’s father and also Sidra’s Husband who is a really strict religious African father who does not like Aisha socialising or even studying.
